The LSP kicked off with these Endeavor hopefuls pitching their business in 5 minutes and going through rigorous Q&A sessions with two separate panels:
- Panel A had Endeavor Board Member and Creador Founder & CEO Brahmal Vasudevan as well as Endeavor Mentor David Thomas who is CIMB Group’s Chief Risk Officer
- Panel B featured Endeavor Chairman and Time dot com Commander-in-Chief Afzal Abdul Rahim along with Endeavor mentor and first-time panelist Datuk Zainal Amanshah, CEO of InvestKL.
After panel interview sessions, nerves were abound as panelists deliberated on whether or not candidates should move on to the final stage of the Endeavor selection process, the International Selection Panel – the next one will be in Manilla, Philipines in April 2018.
In order to get through, entrepreneurs must gain unanimous votes from panelists. When votes differ (e.g. 3 yes’s and 1 no), the dissenting or assenting panelist must try to sway other panelists’ votes. If at the second round of voting panelists still disagree, then the entrepreneur does not get through.
Becoming an Endeavor Entrepreneur is tough, but as Endeavor Malaysia’s MD Anand Krishnan puts it, “If they get through, we throw a ton of resources behind them to help them grow at an accelerated rate.”
