George Chua is the Regional Head of Digital Marketing at SEEK Asia.
George Chua is currently Regional Head of Digital Marketing for SEEK Asia and is responsible for digital marketing strategy and execution across SEEK Asia's businesses in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. George's professional mission is to advance marketing knowledge, busting pseudo-science and marketing myths, and figuring out how brands really grow. Above all, he seeks to help companies develop evidence-based marketing interventions and benefit from modern marketing technology.
Prior to SEEK Asia, George was a Managing Director in Accenture Southeast Asia, where he was part of the Marketing, Sales, & Service practice, helping clients in the telecommunications, power utilities, and oil & gas industries optimize their marketing decisions using intelligent automation. Before Accenture, he was formerly Head of Data Science & Engineering at ADA Asia (a digital marketing agency jointly owned by Axiata Digital Services and Sumitomo Corporation), Associate Partner at IBM's Global Center of Competence for Telecommunications, Media, and Entertainment, and Senior Vice President, Customer Management at Celcom Axiata Bhd.
Academically, George holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology from the British Computer Society, an MBA from James Cook University, Australia, did doctoral coursework in Managerial Economics at the Swiss Management Center, and is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, UK. He had also published two papers on image processing and graph analytics at international peer-review conferences.
Outside of work, George enjoys his volunteer work as an entrepreneurial mentor at Endeavor Malaysia. For leisure, he loves to read and owns a personal library of over 1,200 books.
