Chiew Kok Hin

AIMS

Chiew Kok Hin is the Chief Executive Officer of AIMS, Southeast Asia’s leading provider of premium carrier neutral data center and managed services.

Chiew spearheads AIMS’ strategic development and has been instrumental in AIMS’ penetration into the enterprise market and expansion to Cyberjaya and Singapore. Chiew led AIMS to becoming Malaysia’s first carrier neutral data centre certified with the Information Security Management Systems IEC/ ISO 27001: 2005 from British Standards Institutions (BSI). This milestone for AIMS reflected a high standard of handling information in a secured manner; as the quality of a data centre weighs heavily on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and application that they hosts. In helming AIMS, Chiew also endeavors to develop the local IDC industry in the country’s aspiration to be regarded as one of the key IDC hubs in the region.

Chiew was also instrumental in the forming of Malaysia’s first Internet Exchange (MyIX) in the country in 2006, playing a key role alongside MCMC to drive for the setup and thriving of the national Internet Exchange, which was crucial for the advancement of Internet development in the country. Chiew holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University.
