Mac Chung Lynn

Nando's Malaysia & Singapore

Mac Chung Lynn is the Director and Group CEO of Nando's Malaysia & Singapore.

Chung Lynn did her GCSE & A Levels in the UK. She then went on to graduate in Architecture (Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Bachelor of Architecture in Architectural Studies) from the University of Wales, Cardiff in U.K. After receiving her professional qualifications in the UK two years later, she returned to Malaysia and took up the challenge of running Nando’s.

Under Chung Lynn’s direction, Nando’s Malaysia started operations in 1998 and the company has since expanded to 75 restaurants throughout Malaysia and 10 restaurants in Singapore. Nando’s specializes in flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, which is grilled to order and basted in a choice of four PERi-PERi flavours. Served in an aspirational casual dining style restaurant, Nando’s targets to open another 30 restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore over the next 5 years.

Under her guidance, Nando’s has achieved a number of awards including “Best Media and Advertising in 2004” (Malaysia – Canada Business Council Award) and Gold & Bronze Effie Awards in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Nando’s Malaysia was also awarded the “2010 Business of the Year” and “Best Restaurant of The Year” for the Nando’s Global awards in 2010. In 2014, Nando’s Malaysia was also awarded the “Bronze People’s Choice” award at the Putra Brand Awards.

On a personal level for Chung Lynn, some of her achievements include winning awards for “SMB Women Entrepreneur 2005” in the SMI awards, Marie Claire’s Woman of Style and Substance and more recently a winner for the Women’s Weekly “Great Women of Our Time” award for the category of Finance & commerce. Chung Lynn is a mother of 3 children and her hobbies include travelling, cooking and reading.

Nando’s is an international casual dining restaurant chain originating from South Africa, with a Mozambican/Portuguese theme. Founded in 1987, Nando’s operates about 1,000 outlets in 30 countries.
