The Arnott’s Group

May Lim is the Managing Director of the Asian Business Unit for The Arnott’s Group, based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As Managing Director based in her home country of Malaysia, May leads the total Asia business for the group, setting strategy and direction for the 5 business units including two manufacturing sites across Asia. Her understanding of Asian markets makes her uniquely placed to identify opportunities and long term growth for The Group.

May began her FMCG career at Heinz Wattie’s New Zealand before moving to Asia, where she worked with Heinz and Lee Kum Kee sauce group, for 20 years. Having lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia prior to her current role May has developed a nuanced understanding of Asian consumers and markets. In her 24 years in the FMCG industry, May has worked across a variety of product categories including sauces and condiments, infant feeding, frozen products, convenience meals and snacks and biscuits. Her experience in designing routes to market, managing distributors for performance, and nurturing talent within the organization has allowed her to establish long term growth for the organizations that she worked for.

Under her leadership the Arnott’s Group Asia business has shown consistent and profitable growth. Her approach to leadership is to find simple solutions for complex issues. She believes that success requires hard work and calculated risk-taking.

The Arnott’s Group portfolio of brands continues the 155-year legacy of the Arnott family, providing quality, great-tasting food to create delicious moments for consumers across the world. The Arnott’s Group is headquartered in Sydney and employs approximately 3,500 people in markets across Asia Pacific. The Arnott’s Group portfolio includes the iconic Arnott’s brands along with Campbell’s products in Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan, and a new cereal and snacks division called Good Food Partners.
