Richard Eu
Eu Yan Sang International
Richard Eu is the Group Chairman of Eu Yan Sang International Ltd.
Starting as the General Manager of the Eu Yan Sang Group in 1989, Mr Eu has overseen its general corporate development and management until his retirement as Group CEO and assumed the Group Chairmanship role in 2017. The Eu Yan Sang Group is today a leading consumer health and wellness company with a unique heritage in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Mr Eu was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 (Singapore) and represented Singapore at the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of The Year 2012 award in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He was also recognised as the CEO of the year by the Singapore Corporate Awards 2010, for SGX‐listed companies with a market capitalisation of under S$300 million.
In 2015, Mr Eu was awarded the bronze award by the Singapore Corporate Awards for Best Managed Boards in the mid‐cap category. Most recently, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) at the Singapore National Day Awards 2020 in recognition of his contribution to society as Chairman of Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Mr Eu is an independent non‐executive director of Broadway Industrial Group Ltd and is Chairman of Tuan Sing Holdings Limited, both SGX-listed companies. He also sits on the board of other private companies and non-profit organisations. He holds a LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of London.
