Zehan Teoh
Cradle
Zehan Teoh is the Senior Vice President, Head of Ecosystem Development at Cradle.
Zehan has two decades of multidisciplinary experience in the application of design thinking in strategic policy reforms and agile approach towards programme management at the national scale.
An engineer by training, he joined the telecommunication industry after the GSM mobile boom in the early 2000s, implemented nation wide radio network planning and optimisation projects for various mobile network operators in South East Asia. In 2010 he joined the public sector, and was part of the National Transformation Programme under the Prime Minister's Office of Malaysia, where he led a team of consultants designing and implementing nationwide policy reform initiatives and delivery programmes in Malaysia, Tanzania, Botswana, Nigeria, Russia and the Netherlands. Successfully delivered over 15+ national level policy reform projects in 3 continents over the last 11 years.
During the pandemic, he left consulting and joined FWD to set up a hybrid corporate venture builder or venture capital structure to enable the group to contribute towards developing the InsurTech start-up ecosystem in Southeast Asia, FWD Start-up Studio.
He was previously at Qatar Insurance Group (QIC) as Senior Vice President, and was Head of Venture Builder, Platform at QIC Digital Venture Partners, the venture arm of Qatar Insurance Group (QIC).
